5 star RATED! Testimonials from TripAdvisor

  • Really Fast 2 Hours!  Reviewed December 26, 2016 What a treat we had this afternoon with Chris. We cannot imagine having this type of airboat ride and tour without him……he is passionate and knowledgeable about this area, the wildlife and the flora. We all learned lots of interesting new facts and enjoyed his genuine and entertaining way of sharing his knowledge…. including showing us some of his favorite alligators!
  • Chris is wonderful and so passionate about this part of Florida that he loves and has spent many years exploring. This was not just a boat ride but a whole experience and he was so great explaining to the kids as well as the adults. Show a lot of wildlife. Can’t wait to go back.

  • Pleasantly Surprised  Reviewed March 19, 2016  After living in Florida for 25+ years, I have finally gone on an airboat ride and to my own surprise, I enjoyed it immensely. After winning the trip in a raffle and unsuccessfully trying to trade it in for a fishing charter, (nothing personal, Chris) my family and I finally decided to take the trip while on spring break.
We showed up a few minutes before our scheduled time and Captain Chris was ready and waiting. After a brief overview of safety measures, etc., we were on our way. Within minutes, we realized we were going to see a part of Florida that we don’t see everyday living in South Florida (Stuart, to be exact). This was not your typical airboat ‘bus’ that holds 20 people, it was the four of us and Captain Chris in the middle of nature. In our 2+ hour tour, we experienced distinctly different areas in the marsh with everything from sawgrass to cypress, baby gators, medium gators and BIG gators, and so many types of birds it was impossible to count them. We even had the opportunity to wet a line and each catch our first bass.
Captain Chris’ knowledge of the marsh and wetlands and Florida history is impressive, as is his personality and professionalism. From the minute we met him, we felt we were in for a great day and we were right, Chris did everything to perfection!
I would not hesitate to recommend Old Florida Airboat Tours to anyone, it was awesome.
Thank you, Captain Chris!!! The Tyner Family
  • “THE PERFECT DAY!!!!” Reviewed December 1, 2015 Our air boat trip was the Perfect thing to add to our Thanksgiving Day weekend. After a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of food, friends and family, we decided to book a tour to the Blue Cypress Wildlife area. It was a beautiful sunny day!!!! All the years of living in Florida on the Treasure Coast, this was my very first air boat tour. Our Capt. and guide, Chris was so knowledgeable about the area, the plant life and animals. We started out and I have to admit I was a bit nervous. He was guiding the boat in and around the most beautiful marshlands. As we got under way I felt a calm come over me. The experience started to feel like I was at an IMAX theater watching the most beautiful scenery pass me by. I captured on my camera amazing amounts of birds, butterflies, alligators, ducks and fish!!!!!!! One of my favorite pictures is of a Locust. Chris stopped here and there to explain the marshlands and his love for Florida wildlife and fauna. And also to point out many alligators lying on the top of the grasses and swimming. It truly was a painters palette with all the vivid colors……..The guys really enjoyed watching the gators and fishing, while I soaked up the true beauty of our wetlands!!! It was so serene!!!!! Yes……….We need to protect our marshes, wetlands and everglades Thank you Chris, for picking up other visitors garbage while we explored the little Island you brought us to!!!!!!!!!! Amazing day
  • “AWESOME!” November 30, 2015 Hands down the best hours spent in Florida. Captain Chris was fantastic. Professional and humorous. Bring the family and spend the day.
  • “Amazing experience!!!!!!!!” Reviewed November 28, 2015 OMG!!! Im almost 60 and I’ve experienced something I could never have even imagined!!!! The airboat ride is like no other boat ride I’ve been on. A smooth ride through the most beautiful, peaceful, natural setting imaginable!!! When I first saw and heard the boat (the airboat motor is so loud) I got a little apprehensive. But when we started out I had tears coming down my face because it was so beautiful. I almost felt the setting was fake like I had to be in Disney. I enjoyed the beautiful birds, the wild life, the vegetation, the hidden camps and our picnic spot. I also enjoyed the air, it smelled so clean and every once in awhile you would smell sweetness which i assumed were the different plants. Also, Chris answered all my questions, it was awesome to be with a guide who grew up in Florida and was so knowledgeable about the marsh and it’s history. My experience was so awesome that I want to give the gift of this experience to all my family when they come to visit!!! Much better than an ugly sweater that they will throw away!!!
  • “Awesome afternoon ride.” December 1, 2015 A very nice ride through the marsh we saw alligator’s and lots of birds. Captain Chris is very pleasant and very knowledgeable of the marsh. He is a safety minded operator which makes for a fun ride.
  • “Bucket List!” Reviewed March 27, 2015 I can scratch one thing off of my bucket list. My son and I went down to Florida to visit my sister and brother in law. She set this tour up with Old Florida Airboat Tours for a surprise for us. Met Captain Chris, and once you have met him it felt like you have known him for years. It took only minutes and you were in the show of Wild Kingdom. Plenty of wild life, great experience!
  • “Couldn’t have been better!!! Spectacular!” – Reviewed March 26, 2015. Oh my goodness! What a way to spend a morning. I wanted to do something with family visiting from “up north” that was truly Floridian and this was perfect. No hokey tour company airboat ride from Captain Chris. I am so glad I chose Old Florida Airboat Tours. Everything about the morning was spectacular — exciting one minute, relaxing the next. Captain Chris knows his boat and he knows the wildlife and nature he was showing us. I already am planning on going again with some other family members in May and I know that won’t be the last time!! Best of all- we felt like we made a new friend in Chris! Cindy Port St. Lucie
  • “Personalized professional service A1” – Reviewed March 15, 2015. Chris was ready at the prearranged time no waiting. Asked us what we wanted to see, and he tailored our trip to suit. It WAS NOT YOUR AVERAGE PRESCIPTED TOUR. he is professional and well versed in the wildlife area and the operation of the airboat
  • FUN fun fun. Reviewed March 10, 2015. Glad we went! Great experience very friendly courteous and informative captain. Took his time to show us what ever we wanted to see. Would do it again very relaxing.
  • “The real deal! You feel like you are in a wildlife movie!” Reviewed February 3, 2015. I have been remiss in not posting this sooner. We were down in FL in September 2014. I had been wanting to try an airboat tour for forever. After doing research, a lot of what I saw did not appeal-way too flashy and touristy. But then I discovered Old Florida Airboat Tours. Bingo! Wow. Such a trip and such a lifetime memory. He’s the real deal, folks. Old school boat, like you see on the nature shows. You feel like an adventurer! His knowledge of the area, his respect for the land and the water and his love of what he does shine through. We felt completely safe with this experienced guide, Captain Chris Bradley-yet we still felt like bold explorers! He knows his boat, he knows his facts, he shares his excitement and you really feel like you got the tour of a lifetime. He taught us a lot about the flora and fauna, stewardship of the land and most definitely shared his deep respect and appreciation of this area. Such an exciting day! We highly recommend calling him and setting up a tour. You will not regret it! It’s easy to film the trip on your smartphone, as you cruise through the marsh & wetlands. And when you see the alligators…Wow!
  • “Saturday Morning Trip with Captain Chris” – August 20, 2014.The airboat tour into the backcountry marsh of Blue Cypress was excellent. Living in Florida we think we have seen lots of the natural areas but a trip on an airboat reminds us of the beauty of FL.
  • “Best airboat ride I’ve ever been on!! Favorite part of my visit to Florida!” – Reviewed March 31, 2014 – This was by far the highlight of our trip. Captain Chris was an awesome guide and he was such a delight! We saw lots of gators, ospreys, spoonbills, turtles, and even had a deer racing alongside us in the marsh. It was such a great experience, I will always recommend it for people visiting the area. There was never a dull moment and it was well worth the money and then some! Way above my expectations.
  • “Awesome airboat ride, definitely recommended!!” – Reviewed December 13, 2013 – Captain Chris did an amazing job and it lasted longer than 2 hours, definitely worth the money! We ran over and saw a few gators and he brought us to places no other boats were which was really cool. He was very knowledgable and made us feel like if we got attacked by a gator he would save us lol. He even got in the water (with potential snakes) to take a great picture of us! If you’re looking for an adventurous air boat ride with a knowledgeable captain, Chris is definitely the way to go!!
  • “Fantastic way to spend the day” – Reviewed February 3, 2013 – Captain Chris not only met, but exceeded his trip advisor reviews. We took my 6 year old son for an amazing day of gator viewing and fishing. His knowledge of the area, stories, and warm personality made our day together the highlight of our trip. Looking forward to hanging out with him again in the future.
  • “Come see the real Florida!!” – Reviewed April 13, 2013 -I decided that after numerous trips to Florida it was time to try out an airboat ride with my family. Little did I know that this would be probably the most incredible time we’ve had down there yet! Captain Chris took my wife, my two sons(12 & 7 ) and I on the most beautiful, fun, and informative trip through the marshes of Florida. Captain Chris spent plenty of time telling us the history of the area, pointing out the incredible wildlife, and taking us to some of the most scenic places we could have ever imagined. We were able to see Bald eagles, Osprey, Great Blue Herons, even a trio of Whooping Cranes. Oh.. Did I mention the GATORS!?! WOW!! We saw numerous gators! Everything from 6-7′ gators to little hatchlings! My kids were floored!!
  • “Gators, history and the wind in your hair!!” – Reviewed April 7, 2013 – Excellent 2 hour plus trip with Captain Chris! My fiancé and I called Chris last minute on our short trip visiting the Port St Lucie area to see if he had any time available. Chris was very helpful over the phone and I got a good feeling me made the right choice in choosing him over the larger, cheaper airboat rides in the area. We got an afternoon full of gators and a great ride full of interesting facts about the area. Captain Chris was a delight! Well worth the money. We didn’t just get a half hour fast tour we got two plus hours of relaxed touring! Highly recommended!!! We will definitely go back again!
  • “Great Tour in Blue Cypress” – Reviewed March 22, 2013 – My father and I went on a 2-hour tour in Blue Cypress on St. Patrick’s Day afternoon. Captain Chris was at the designated spot ahead of time, all ready to go, and gave us good directions to get there. He even advised us to move our rental car to the opposite side of the street to avoid debris form other airboats launching nearby.
  • “Above and Beyond Our Expectations!” – Reviewed March 15, 2013 – Words cannot describe our wonderful day spent with Captain Chris. A “real” airboat ride was on my husband’s bucket list and that is what we were given along with the beauty of the Everglades. The knowledge, friendliness, and experience of Chris completed our extended ride. Chris – we hope you know how much we appreciated your time spent with us. We will talk about our experience for years to come. When we are able to visit Florida again, another ride with you will be at the top of our list. I could ramble on about how amazing the adventure was but will just say this – call Chris, book a ride, enjoy the natural and beautiful scenery of the area, relax under the professional care of a guide with an awesome personality and you will not be disappointed!
  • “Thrilling, yet relaxing airboat ride!” – Reviewed March 1, 2013 – My son booked this tour, so I didn’t know what to expect. Captain Chris was waiting for us, as promised and we promptly took off for our “Sunset Cruise.” (We did have to climb into the boat and up onto chairs, so I would not recommend this tour for those with limited mobility.)
  • “An incredible sunset tour with Captain Chris!” – Reviewed February 20, 2013 – Three of us went on an amazing adventure with Captain Chris. It was fantastic to cruise through the marsh “trails” in a 13 foot, very powerful, airboat. The wildlife was great to look at, the scenery was even greater than I had expected, and we got to witness a beautiful sunset to finish off our longer than expected trip. We saw many kinds of birds, some turtles, and a bunch of alligators. When Captain Chris powers down the boat he has many wonderful stories and history lessons to share. Cold beverages are provided. It’s obvious that to Captain Chris you are not just a customer. He immediately was our friend. Next time we are back in Port St. Lucie we are hopping on the boat again. This isn’t just a tour for tourists. The locals need to see this part of Florida as well.
  • “Amazing” – Reviewed November 15, 2012 – My 2 children, my husband and myself had a fantastic time. Chris was great and had lots of stories. The trail that he takes you on is unique and amazing. Everyone had a blast!
  • “Adventurous and Beautiful!” – Reviewed October 23, 2012 – My husband and I were very excited about taking and airboat ride and Captain Chris lived up to what we wanted and more. The places he took us to is like another world. We both love the outdoors and all the scenery that goes with it. We live in AR, which is also beautiful but this was a different beauty. I would do it over and over again. Captain Chris was able to answer all the questions I had whether about wildlife or plants. I hope that we will be able to return to this part of Florida again and do the airboat ride again. LOVED IT!
  • “Most amazing ride ever” – Reviewed August 4, 2012 – what can we say. Captain Chris was more than friendly and more than accommodating. the weather was iffy, but he knew we really wanted to go out, and out we went. We dodged the clouds and rain and he took us to his “secret home away from home” to ride out the storm. anyone else would have headed back, but he continued to keep us out and took us to special spots to see alligators and other wonderful wild life. On a scale from one to ten this was definitely a 15. thanks for the fun and adventure.
  • “First and Fabulous Airboat Excursion” – Reviewed July 28, 2012 – Today was our first time ever on an airboat, and Captain Chris made it a wonderful experience! He is a kind, professional, and knowledgeable tour guide and his enthusiasm for Florida nature was contagious. Our trip was close to two hours and was an excellent value. We even got the thrill of watching two does run in front of the boat in their natural habitat. We would recommend his trip to anyone wanting to experience the uninterrupted beauty of a Florida marsh in a non-touristy way. Thanks, Captain Chris!
  • “A blast in fiberglass!” – Reviewed July 23, 2012 – Captain Chris took my husband and I out through Big Cypress Preserve on July 20th for an airboat tour and it was amazing! The other reviews are spot on! Chris’s love for the outdoors was evident as he recounted stories, pointed out flora and fauna and made our trip extremely enjoyable and educational. We didn’t feel like we were on a rehearsed, guided tour, but rather had a captain who was taking us through his own backyard. He knew every twist and turn and we always felt comfortable. The tour was far from rushed and WELL worth the money. We really thought he was enjoying it as much as we were! The trip was well prepared with ear protection and refreshments. It was customized around our interests. If you are apprehensive about the boat itself, don’t be! The airboat ride itself was fine – it wasn’t bouncy, but maybe a little loud if you have hearing issues. For the most part the earphones buffered the sound of the blades and Chris provided additional earplugs if you needed it. My husband didn’t need it and I used it just in case but found it wasn’t necessary. The entire trip does not confine you to the boat the entire time. There were a few stops we made in safe areas that allowed us not only to stretch our legs but to take a moment to revel in the beauty that is the Florida preserve. Although we were in the middle of the swamp, we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Captain Chris always had our best interest at heart. This trip was an absolute must – don’t miss it! Thanks Chris! – Marcello & Priya

Captain Chris is a really nice guy and is fun to be with, his enthusiasm makes it that much more fun. He will also take you fishing or hunting if that is what you are looking for.
